It is also a country of contrasts, from the beaches of the French Riviera in the south, to the wine growing central regions and the majestic mountains of the Alps, there really is something for everyone, and if you are a lover of cycling, who can fail to be impressed by the yearly carnival of Le Tour (The Tour De France) I for one suffer greatly during July as I stay up to watch many of the stages - Sacre Bleu!
